Redeeming Watergate?

"In all things God is at work for good," says Romans 8:28.

When the 40th anniversary of the ugly Watergate scandal and a President's resignation occured this month few thought about the remarkable "Born Again" story that attached to former Nixon hatchet-man Church Colson.

Colson ran the "dirty tricks" department at the White House but the events of 1973-1974 affected him powerfully for good.

Even in prison he retained a newly-found faith in Christ with the help of a Christian friend who was a Republican. One Congressman even offered to finish Colson's prison term because he figured Chuck was sorely needed back home to help his teenage son caught with drugs.

Read all about it in Colson's "Born Again" bestseller which helped him launch the Prison Fellowship ministry encouraging prisoners to get back on track.
