Hollywood Prayer Network

Unknown to many, a group of Christians who work in Hollywood called the Hollywood Prayer Network (HPN) regularly gather to pray for Hollywood. At least 3000 Christians work there as carpenters, cameramen, painters, set designers, producers, production assistants, make-up artists, technical/digital people, etc.

Just before the Oscars some gathered for a prayer walk around the Dolby Theatre, site of the 88th Oscars to pray for screen legends who are ill, to inspire decision-makers to consider more Biblically-based fare such as "Risen" appearing right now and other personal items.

"Hollywood is not so much Babylon as Nineveh, where Jonah was afraid to go, but God had a purpose" says one spokesperson. The HPN vision is simple: An industry that gave the world such timeless classics as The Ten Commandments and Ben-Hur should not be written off as a mission field or undeserving of prayer.
