Hitch's Faith

Christian journalist Mark Ellis passes on the news that Alfred Hitchcock, renowned director and subject of a recently released bio-pic, "never lost his [Catholic] faith."

UCLA graduate Fr. Mark Henninger told the Wall Street Journal that he had accompanied his Jesuit mentor to Hitchcock's Bel-Air home in 1980 to hear the movie-maker's last confession.

"I was there," wrote Fr. Henninger. Wife Alma, played by Helen Mirren in the current movie, joined the three in Hitchcock's study for Mass where the Hollywood legend knew the correct responses.

As Hitchcock knew, truth is even stranger than Hollywood fiction (Mark@Godreports.com).
