Bengalis Get It Done

SAN BERNADINO – Ever since the 1990s our Glendora-Rancho Cucamonga churches have been affiliated with the Bengali Evangelical Association. This fruitful relationship has aided the missionary outreach to Bangladesh whereby thousands of Bengalis have been led to Christ.

Guest speaker Dr. Joe Tkach, Roger Lippross, and John Biswas, director of the Bengali Evangelical Association.

But Director John Biswas lets no grass grow beneath his feet. Over the years he has developed a church for his fellow-Asians in San Bernardino many of whom are very new to Christianity. Sometimes 125-135 people attend his small but effective campus in SB. Here is a report by Roger Lippross of Beaumont on some recent Outreach as 2013:

December 25th is good day to celebrate Christ's first coming, and over 136 Bengalis and guests did just that at the Bengali Evangelical Association's all-day service and celebration at their facility in San Bernardino, California.

Dr. Joe Tkach was the special guest and gave a Christmas message which centered on the unearned gift of grace, and Christ's birth. Our Bengali brothers and sisters were very happy that Dr. Tkach came to join them in their celebration.

In order to seat all the guests a rented tent acted as the center for worship. There was a morning service with Bengali Christmas carols and traditional Bengali dancing and music in the afternoon and evening. As is the custom a light lunch of Bengali food was provided and snacks were available during the day. It was a very Joyous celebration.
