Good Fruit at Grapes Festival

By Neil Earle

For the second straight year New Covenant Fellowship of Rancho Cucamonga, assisted by Glendora WCG, participated in the Grape Harvest Festival at Victoria Gardens, September 28-30. Response was good as indicated from these two reports:

It was a good evening. Sofia and I spoke to several people, gave out many Reconcile newsletters, some of the other booklets that were available, a few church address information slips, and took about 5 prayer requests. It went well. Having the water bottles with our name was good, along with the bowl of candy. I think it would be a good idea next year to have available pamphlets that deal with family issues (marriage, finances). These things people are facing every day. (Angie & Sofia Cruz)

On Saturday, September 29, I had the opportunity to serve on a booth hosted by the New Covenant Fellowship at the annual Rancho Cucamonga Grape Harvest Festival. Our booth had two signs, one for Reconciliation Ministry and one for the church. During my three-hour stint I had some stimulating discussions, answered questions and talked with several people about Jesus and our local church.

I prayed for a recently released prisoner and let him know that Jesus loves him and that He is the answer to all his problems. He even agreed and said he is trying to re-connect with his church upbringing. I gave away a number of Reconcile newsletters and business cards – Neil’s and mine. Some promised to check us out.
